Cart full of children's board books at the Library purchased with funds from the Friends.
The Friends provide books for free to Meals on Wheels recipients.
Thanks to a generous donation and a grant for $500 worth of books from United for Libraries and Penguin Random House, the Friends help maintain and expand the new Spanish language collection at the library.
The Friends provide funds to the library for a variety of passes to historic, artistic, and scientific experiences throughout Oregon for the enjoyment and enrichment of library patrons.
Funds from the Friends were used to purchase a plinko donation stand to make donating change and small bills for the children's room addition a fun experience.
Memorial donations in honor of long-time Friends member Mac McNulty went toward a dedicated table for young children to play with entertaining yet educational toys.
Memorial donations for large print books were made in honor of long-time Friends president and vice president
Harlen and Kathleen Mastenbrook.
Funds from the Friends have been used to add to the collection of board games and other items in the Library of Things.
The Friends commissioned benches for the library created from beams salvaged from the old middle school building that was removed to make room for the new library.
United for Libraries and Penguin Random House Grants to Rural and Small Libraries
The Friends of the Lebanon Public Library and our library were the recipients of the first Penguin Random House grants for friends of the library groups that serve rural and small libraries. We received an in-kind book donation for $500 worth of books for the new Spanish language collection at the library. This donation will allow the library to better serve all the members of our community.
The Siletz Tribal Charitable Contribution Fund Matching Grant
This grant helps support the annual Summer Reading Program. The grant allows the library to purchase a new book to gift to each child who signs up for the Summer Reading Program. The matching funds from the Friends go toward other prizes for participants and a finale party. The November 2024 STCCF grant for the 2025 Summer Reading Program was $2,000. The Summer Reading Program wouldn't be as successful as it is without the support of the tribes.
